The production of a cast aluminium rotational mould follows a precise multi-step process from design to manufacture and final finishing.
From the design department a CAD file would be produced from which an initial model would be created. This would be followed by a master copy for the casting of the actual aluminium mould. Following the aluminium casting in the foundry, the raw casting would be fettled and ground to produce an exceptionally high finish. Finally the mould would be fitted with clamps and framework – MausHole™ applied and BMC™ coated in the finishing department.
